Face + Body Tallow Balm
Ancestral skincare for dry high desert skin
A deeply nourishing balm crafted to restore softness and balance to dry, sensitive, or hardworking skin. Made with grass-fed tallow and slow-infused botanical oils, this rich balm melts gently on contact, delivering lasting moisture while leaving skin supple and protected.
Tallow has been used for generations as an ancestral skincare ingredient. Its natural fatty acid profile closely mirrors the oils found in our own skin, allowing it to absorb beautifully while helping support the skin’s natural barrier.
Beeswax from our own hives adds a breathable protective layer that helps seal in moisture and shield the skin from the elements. Simple, traditional ingredients create a balm that feels both grounding and deeply nourishing.
Use it anywhere your skin needs extra care — face, hands, elbows, cuticles, or dry patches.
Choose Your Balm
Lavender
A calming botanical balm infused with lavender blossoms and finished with lavender essential oil. Soft floral notes make this an ideal evening balm for face and body.
Woods
Grounding and warm, this balm features sweet almond oil infused with wild sagebrush and a resinous blend of sandalwood, copaiba, and palo santo essential oils reminiscent of desert woods.
Texture & Absorption
Our tallow balm melts quickly when warmed between your fingers and absorbs beautifully into the skin. Because tallow closely mirrors the natural oils in human skin, it nourishes deeply without leaving a heavy or greasy residue.
A little goes a long way, start with a small amount and add more if needed.
From the Farm
Life in the northern New Mexico high desert asks a lot from skin — bright sun, dry air, wind, and long days working with the land. This balm was created as a simple, dependable way to nourish and protect skin using traditional ingredients.
Lavender and sagebrush are slowly infused into oil before being blended with grass-fed tallow and beeswax from our hives.
Each jar is handcrafted in small batches at Persimmon Moon Farm in Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico.
