Kate

Hi! I’m Kate, the farmer & maker behind Persimmon Moon Farm. What began as a desire to work more closely with plants and land has grown into a life shaped by seasonality, craft, and care. I grow medicinal herbs, keep bees, and make everything you find here by hand, in small batches, on our land in northern New Mexico.

The Farm

Tucked between wide skies and piñon-juniper hills, our land in Arroyo Hondo is home to medicinal herbs, honeybees, and a slower way of working, one that honors seasonality, craft, and the intelligence of plants. Every product we create begins here, with soil under our nails and a deep respect for the place we call home.

We make small-batch skincare, soaps, incense, and ritual goods using organic oils, farm-grown and ethically foraged herbs, and traditional handmade methods. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just careful work, done with intention.

Rooted in Place

Northern New Mexico is not gentle - it’s dry, windy, intense, and beautiful. Our formulations are shaped by that reality. We work with plants that thrive in this landscape: calendula, sage, piñon, juniper, lavender, wild rose, and more. Many of our scents and blends are inspired directly by the land itself, the smell of sun-warmed resin, storm-soaked earth, and high desert air.

Foraging is done mindfully and sparingly, with an emphasis on regeneration and respect. We harvest only what the land can give, and only in seasons when it’s appropriate.

Made by Hand, Start to Finish

Everything at Persimmon Moon Farm is made by hand, in small batches, by a real human. From cold-processed soaps and herbal salves to incense and seasonal offerings, each piece is crafted slowly and intentionally. Variations happen, that’s part of the beauty. These are living products, not factory replicas.

We believe skincare and ritual goods should feel honest, effective, and be deeply connected to their ingredients.
