A collection of handcrafted herbal salves made with slow-infused botanicals, nourishing oils, and beeswax from our hives. These traditional preparations are designed to support the skin and body using time-honored plant remedies.

Each salve begins with herbs slowly infused into oil to draw out their beneficial compounds. The infused oils are then blended with pure beeswax to create a protective, soothing balm that melts easily into the skin.

Whether used for dry skin, everyday skin support, or targeted herbal care, these salves are simple, effective preparations rooted in traditional herbal practice.

Inspired by the plants of the northern New Mexico landscape, this salve features wild desert botanicals traditionally used to soothe and protect skin exposed to sun, wind, and dry mountain air. A comforting everyday herbal salve for hands, elbows, and weather-worn skin.

Lavender Salve

Lavender

A calming botanical salve infused with lavender blossoms and finished with lavender essential oil. Gentle and soothing, it’s ideal for sensitive skin or as a relaxing balm before bed. Perfect for dry patches, hands, and nightly skin care.

Pain Relief Salve

Black Walnut • Willow • Calendula • Eucalyptus

A deeply comforting herbal salve crafted for tired muscles and hardworking joints. Black walnut and willow bark have long been used in traditional herbal preparations for their soothing qualities, while calendula supports the skin. Eucalyptus essential oil provides a gentle cooling sensation as the salve absorbs.

Black Drawing Salve

Piñon• Activated Charcoal • Usnea

A traditional herbal preparation inspired by classic drawing salves used for generations. Formulated with botanical ingredients historically used to support the skin and help draw out irritations. This rich, protective salve is best applied to targeted areas and covered with a bandage.

Texture & Application

Our salves soften quickly when warmed between your fingers and spread easily over the skin. Beeswax creates a breathable barrier that helps protect and support the skin while herbal oils deliver nourishing plant compounds.

From the Farm

Many of the herbs used in our salves are grown or wild-foraged here in the high desert around Persimmon Moon Farm. The plants are slowly infused into oil before being blended with beeswax from our hives.

These small-batch preparations reflect the landscape they come from — sun, wind, resin, and wild plants.

Key Botanicals of the High Desert

The plants used in our salves reflect the landscape surrounding Persimmon Moon Farm, sun-warmed mesas, dry mountain air, and the resilient herbs of northern New Mexico. Many of these botanicals have long traditions in herbal practice and are slowly infused into oil to create our salves.

Piñon Resin

The unmistakable scent of the Southwest. Piñon resin has been used traditionally in salves for its protective and soothing qualities, creating a warm, grounding balm for weather-worn skin.

Osha Root

A revered mountain plant of the Southwest. Osha has been valued in traditional herbal practices for generations and is often included in topical preparations for its supportive botanical properties. Sustainably harvested locally. 

Sagebrush

A defining plant of the high desert. Sagebrush brings a soft herbal character and has long been incorporated into traditional plant remedies.

Usnea

Often called “old man’s beard,” this lichen grows on trees in mountain forests and has been used historically in herbal preparations for skin support.

Plantain

A humble but powerful skin herb traditionally used to soothe irritated or troubled skin. Plantain has been a staple of herbal salves across many cultures.

Lavender

A beloved botanical known for its calming aroma and gentle skin-supportive qualities. Lavender brings both comfort and softness to herbal preparations.

Willow Bark

One of the classic herbs used in traditional preparations for soothing the body and supporting tired muscles.

Calendula

Calendula is widely used in herbal skincare to calm, nourish, and support healthy skin.
